It’s Saturday finally. Considering the long week, Saturday took a long time in arriving. A super-filled day with lots of activities, some of which involve quite a bit of muscle work, and delivery. Then it’s off for last minute shopping in 1 Utama for more food for my upcoming trip. A fun-filled day but it’s time to pack. Better not be forgetting stuff! Anyway, no entries for the next four days as I’ll be soaking it up in Lang Tengah island with the sand, sea and surf. Not to mention corals and lots of snorkeling to do.

Recently, I received a few photos of Urumqi, China and they look like standard EOS-20D photos. Not that there’s anything wrong with them but when we take photos, realistic is usually not on our minds. Ignore digital manipulation for a bit here; we’ve been maipulating how our photos look like for a long time. When we choose a specific film, we’re already altering what the REAL picture looks like. Some film like Fuji’s Velvia for example tend to be very saturated with deep greens and blues. I find that the EOS-20D’s out-of-camera JPEGs are a tad undersaturated and soft.

Just four more days (not counting today) of torture before I head off for four lovely days under the sun, coconut trees with beautiful corals, beaches and water… and most of all, no work and kuman.
