Another two nights and we’ll be making a night ascent to Gunung Datoh in Negeri Sembilan. You can find more info right here. For those more adventurous, I’ve two upcoming trips before I leave for the outback in May.

On the Saturday before Easter Sunday, we’ll be pathfinding to the Kijang Jatoh waterfall. Currently, I have space for one more only. If you do drive, we’ll draw lots to see who rides outside (unless you have a 4WD with LSD – Limited Slip Differentials) as there’s some serious uphill terrain to overcome first. Then, a week, later, we’ll be going to Gunung Nuang!

Although the development cycle ends and extra hours are put in to meet the test deadline, I managed to squeeze some time in between playing Far Cry of course to try out my new Digital SLR… And here’s one shot I kind of like.

Crap! For some reason, even though my Barricade router is connected and authentication to the servers work and I have an IP address, I can barely access any website before FireFox returns a “document contains no data” error! Calls to streamyx support goes to voice mail! I’d have expected that if there was some widescale system error, they should have put an announcement on their IVR!

Finally! I picked up my 300D/Digital Rebel today. Filled up my Transcend 512Mb CF quickly and the noise level is so amazingly low… damn. Compared to my now end-of-life A70 (replaced by the A75), the noise is at least 4-stops less! Noise free ISO 400. Now I need a trip!

Wake up early, drive down to Midvalley, pick up some stuff from ACE hardware, then back to Casa Damansara II (Jeff’s place), make holes in the wall to mount IKEA curtain rails, then off to Section 14 to visit Eddie at Jaya DIY center and then he shows up some new fangled overdrived luxeon LED flashlight that costs a whopping RM289! Lunch at McDonalds, back to Casa and more drilling and the bloody wall must be made of adamantium for the drill not to penetrate!
